Presentation
Each of these four channels can be independently processed and recombined. You will be able to take stereo shots (M/S, X/Y or Blumlein pair). No need for another microphone to record in stereo or 360°!
The plugin window very simply allows you to choose two different mic emulations simultaneously, one for each head. But unlike other products in the Edge range, you can increase the level of precision and adjustment because the heads can rotate without any noise, even during recording. Each head of the Quadro can operate in all possible polar patterns (cardioid, figure of 8, omnidirectional and all positions in between). These features provide access to virtually unlimited variations in tone and stereo imaging, encouraging creative experimentation.
For optimum fidelity emulations, use an Antelope Audio interface with onboard FPGA processor: Discrete 4 or 8, Orion Studio Rev. 2017, Goliath or Goliath HD, Zen Tour.
If you have an interface from another brand, you will have access to emulations natively (through your computer's processors). By doing so, you will even be able to change modeling after finishing recording.
