Presentation
It's not for nothing that the great Joe Pass decided to take inspiration from it to create his signature model, which was a huge success.
This Emperor Swingster is built like a semi-hollow body with a single cutaway, facilitating access to high notes on this very comfortable neck with a SlimTaper profile.
In order to find a vintage and "airy" sound, the table, back and sides are made of 5 plies of maple, typical of guitars of this type.
The mahogany neck is glued to the body, and an Indian laurel fingerboard overhangs it, bringing roundness and detachment to the notes.
The superb Delta Blue Metallic color (nice wink) is highlighted by a gloss varnish that brings out its color and will capture all eyes.
The sound is not left behind because we find a pair of Epiphone SwingBucker humbuckers, with an assertive rock n' Roll character but also capable of softness and brilliance by playing with the volume.
To make it more versatile, the two volume knobs are push/pull giving you the possibility to choose between series or parallel coils. The sound goes from full-bodied and rocky to round and warm in a single click.
