The 1665 Slinky Nickel Wound model with gauge 65 is one of the very famous Slinky electric guitar strings. Responding to the needs of a rising generation of young guitarists wishing to express their creativity in a different way using more flexible strings, the American manufacturer Ernie Ball designed its first Slinky in the 1960s.

Developed in the same spirit, the 1665 Slinky Nickel Wound 65 is a string that still delights bass players around the world today. This offers a good sound balance from bass to treble and generates a lot of harmonics. This is made possible thanks to a nickel-plated steel design for its round wire and tin-plated steel for its hexagonal core.
