The Les Paul Studio has always been a guitar known for its simplicity and efficiency, with a simple but attractive aesthetic.

Gibson now offers it in a Modern version, making it more versatile while retaining the heart of the beast: its authenticity.

The base remains the same, we find a mahogany body with its maple table in a Wine Red finish but with a satin varnish this time. Sobriety, elegance and class are the watchwords. For maximum comfort and ergonomics, the body is lightened via a system of cavities specially designed to respect the timbre of the instrument.

The construction uses a glued mahogany neck topped with an ebony fingerboard but, as is the Modern version, the heel benefits from a "Modern Contoured" cutout for simplified access to high notes, allowing technical players to have fun on the SlimTaper profile.

But not to remain "locked" in a single type of sound, this modernized version adds to the 3-position selector a push/pull pot allowing access to new sound possibilities such as the coil split or a phase inverter.
