A little history...

There are beautiful family stories and that of the two Stamer brothers, Hans and Lothar is one of them. Because when Lothar Stamer (a sound engineer) opened his first speaker design and manufacturing workshop (Stamer Muskanlagen Company) in the south of Germany in 1979, he surely did not imagine what the company had in store for him. future.
Obviously, initially, and considering the modest and/or committed means to start this adventure, the two brothers are not trying to impose a new brand in the already crowded world of sound systems. They are content to design high-end equipment as a subcontractor for the biggest brands of the moment.
But everything is known in the small world of music and their notoriety soon became established throughout Europe and internationally. Naturally leading them to distribute the best of their production under their own name. They then moved to St-Wendel.

In fact, to be completely precise, it was in 1988 that they developed the Light Line series, very light speakers for which they created for the first time a brand that they marketed to the general public, a well-known brand. known to guitarists Hugues and Kettner. And, for the anecdote, know that if the Stamer brothers chose a similar name, it is because they needed a name that was easy to pronounce in all languages!

Building on this adventure, the following year they created the Audio PS1 System, the first product to be distributed to musicians under the HK Audio brand.
The factory is enlarged for the occasion. Success is there again; in 1990, their products were sold in no less than 14 countries around the world. And the building follows with a new factory and a larger storage unit.

It was time to put the product ranges in order and it was therefore decided in 1994 to market all sound products under the HK Audio name and guitar or bass amps under the Hugues and Kettner brand. It was that same year that they marketed the LUCAS, a complete sound system that was ultra-light and therefore easy to transport.
In 2005, HK Audio moved into a 16,000 m² factory to produce between 6 and 8 thousand speakers per month, thanks to some 200 employees.
Products now sold in more than 50 countries.
