Presentation
The 5-piece maple and walnut neck guarantees both stability and tonal clarity, allowing for a precise attack and great responsiveness. This model is distinguished by its 24 frets on a jatoba fingerboard, a wood that offers a rich midrange sound with crisp highs.
The Ibanez-designed PowerSpan Dual Coil pickups are at the heart of this bass' versatility. Their exposed poles increase the signal and allow for better high-frequency response, without sacrificing deep bass. With these pickups, the SR300E-IPT produces rich harmonics and dynamic expression, suitable for a variety of playing styles.
The bass is equipped with Ibanez Custom 3-band electronics with a 3-position Power Tap switch. The latter allows you to switch between three sound modes: Tap mode (single coil) for a dynamic and articulate sound, Series mode (humbucking) for a rounder and warmer tone, and Power Tap mode which combines the clarity of the single coil with the depth of the humbucker.
This configuration offers great sonic flexibility, ideal for bassists who play in a variety of contexts.
The Accu-cast B120 bridge with extra-wide slots can accommodate even the thickest strings, while ensuring optimal tuning stability and precise intonation. In addition, the Cosmo Black finish of the hardware parts gives the instrument a sleek and modern look.
