Presentation
The Satin Hawaiian Koa Baritone model from Kala adopts a traditional shape.
This ukulele is made of Hawaiian koa. This is one of the most traditional Hawaiian woods for the manufacture of such instruments. It is highly sought after by luthiers, particularly because it offers a unique aesthetic to each model produced. This wood has the advantage of offering very varied grains and patterns.
The neck is made of mahogany.
The brand chooses a satin finish to highlight the pattern of this model. It also adds black accents - the binding and the rosette - recalling the dark tone of the rosewood fingerboard.
Ukulele players particularly appreciate Hawaiian koa models for its acoustic qualities. This wood has a balanced sound whose warmth lends itself wonderfully to the lower tones of the baritone format. Furthermore, because this format is tuned lower than the others, it lets the resonant qualities of the koa shine more clearly.
The D’Addario brand titanium single-strand string set, mounted on the Satin Hawaiian Koa Baritone, allows you to enjoy the full sound profile of this instrument.
