Electric Guitar Effects

MXR engineers know how to create future best-sellers, and this Layers will not make them lie. Despite its single pedal format, the Layers is capable of holding up to 3 layers of guitars simultaneously, opening up a free field of perspectives and experiments. In addition, by adding expression and split pedals you will access even more control of your sound.

Fans of sound and ambience experimentation will be more than delighted by the MXR Layers.

This pedal is capable of generating sustain layers from simple notes or complex chords to create depth in your sound, up to 3 layers simultaneously.

Featuring a very organic sound that respects your original signal, the M307 is also equipped with original and complete features.

The SINGLE switch allows you to choose between a simple resonance and 3 superimposed layers to create an ethereal, airy atmosphere rich in harmonics.

The SUB OCT switch lowers the resonance tail(s) by an octave to bring depth to your musical atmosphere.

Despite its compact size, the Layers offers complete controls to refine your sound:

- Mix: volume adjustment of the different layers in relation to the guitar's Dry signal
- Trig: adjustment of the sensitivity of the triggering of the pad variations
- Attack: allows you to manage the rise time of the note in the mix
- Decay: control the duration of the note's hold, including up to infinity like a sustainer

But to allow you to give free rein to your sonic experiments, MXR has also integrated a control input on which you can connect different tools for more results.

For example, by connecting a Tap Switch (sold separately) you will take control of the main footswitch to better manage the sustain transitions. You can also use a volume pedal (optional) to create 2 distinct sound configurations and navigate between the two.

The Layers can also operate in stereo input and output, with a simple click on the pot located under the rear cover and using TRS jacks
