2 SuperChannels - Tube preamps with limiter

The front of the FireStudio Tube includes 2 "SuperChannels" which are the combination of a mic preamp / instrument class A lamp with an analog limiter.

The preamps use a 12AX7 (high gain, military grade) to obtain the maximum gain with very little wind. The combo XLR / Jack Neutrik allow the connection of a microphone or instrument. The preamp is controlled with a gain and a drive to control at best the heat supply and lamp distortion. A low-cut filter at 80Hz is also present.

Integrated analog limiters

The FireStudio Tube is equipped with the same limitation that is found in the renowned DigiMax 96K. The double peak and RMS detection can effectively protect the converter against fast trascients while delivering extremely musical compression. The limiter has a threshold control gain as well as a bypass switch.

Perfect for music production

The FireStudio Tube is equipped with all the I / O needed for professional recording sessions, with 16 analog inputs, up to 2 SuperChannels, 8 XMAX Class A preamps and microphones 6 balanced line inputs. At the outputs, there are six balanced outputs and a powerful headphone output driver capable of any helmet. 1 MIDI I / O is also available in order to connect MIDI instruments (keyboards, drum machines) or MIDI controllers.

This combination of inputs / outputs makes it the perfect audio card to record an entire band at once.

Router / DSP mixer

The FireStudio Tube is equipped with a 16x8 DSP mixer controlled by the FireControl application for creating up to 4 independent stereo mixes.

8 XMAX preamps

The FireStudio Tube is equipped with eight mic preamps specially designed by PreSonus working class A. Most manufacturers equip their interfaces mic preamps inferior to reduce their production costs. At Presonus, we are aware that all components in the signal path, the preamplifier, are extremely important.
