The NTG-2 provides an output level symmetrized low impedance, and works on both internal 1.5V AA battery for 48 V to the P48 standard.
Its bandwidth and directivity control coupled to the electronic SMT low noise level, make the NTG-2 the perfect choice for the film industry, video and dubbing. Its light weight allows it to be attached easily on a video camera or boom.
The NTG-2 comes with its clip and windscreen that suppresses breath during outdoor recording in normal conditions.
Directivity
 Supercardioid
The NTG-2 operates with a standard 48V phantom power or an alkaline battery 1.5 volts. He admits a voltage between 44 and 52 V positive polarity between terminals 2 and 3 via the output XLR connector.

Output Impedance
NTG-2 will operate in an optimum manner to a 1k Ohm load impedance. If a load below thereof is employed, the level of the output signal will be reduced.
The output of the NTG-2 is mirrored between pin 2 (hot) 3 (cold) and pin 1 (ground).
