Check your accuracy
When you sing, the VT-12 indicates the pitch in semitones, and lets you see at any time if your notes are accurate. The lit height indicator is as fast as accurate. The closer you get to the correct height, the higher the indicator is bright. It darkens if you are away. During production of the reference signal, the name of the note is displayed. You can listen to the reference signal (over a range of 24 semitones) with a push of a button. Ideal for personal exercises, this tool also allows voice teachers to motivate their students and encourage them to more quickly find the right height.
Control of harmony
The VT-12 is a social device! It can detect the height of two voices singing simultaneously, which lets you work your duets with another singer: VT-12 shows the notes of both parties. You can choose between three modes of height detection: EQUAL MONO (each using equal temperament), EQUAL CHORD (two voices using equal temperament) and CHORD JUST (just a voice using the major scale). Choirs or groups a cappella can also use VT-12 to check whether their harmonies are just.
Tempo Control
The singers must sing in tune but also able. This is why the VT-12 is a metronome for working tempo. Its use is very simple: just set the tempo manually or with the "Tap Tempo" function. During the singing lessons, students are often encouraged to enter the rhythm with your hands. The metronome facilitate this exercise and sharpens their sense of rhythm. The height detection function continues to play its role alongside the metronome and always shows the pitch of notes sung.
Singing lessons from Berklee Press
The VT-12 comes with a book published by Berklee Press (the publisher of the Berklee College of Music), corresponding to internal audio tracks. "Vocal Workouts for the Contemporary Singer" shows all significant intervals shows the breathing techniques, provides tips to preserve the voice etc. The warm-up exercises include glissandi, descending fifths and other common techniques. You will also find exercises for different styles with some reference and guidance. There are also singing without accompaniment part and exercises for two and three-voice harmonies: you can choose to cut the party to sing yourself. For warm-up exercises and basic exercises, the VT-12 simultaneously displays the height of the reference part and that of the singer or the singer.
Singing exercises Concone
The VT-12 also offers singing exercises "Concone Op. 9 Fifty Lessons". For these 50 years, there is a reference part, a height indication in real time and a piano part for voice "mezzo". The reference part can be cut if you prefer to sing alone (e) with piano accompaniment.
Self evaluation
During the breeding warm-up exercises and internal songs, the VT-12 automatically saves your song, allowing you to evaluate it. To play, simply press the REVIEW button *. The "Review" function can also be used with the metronome, which also lets you control your tempo.
* You can not save the "Review" recordings. Once you run the same piece (or metronome), the VT-12 overwrites the previous record.
VT has not finished surprise you
The recording function of the VT-12 allows the integration of other signal sources in your exercises. Connect an MP3 player or CD REC IN jack (stereo mini jack) and save the song you want to study. You have 10 memories each with a maximum recording time of 10 minutes. Registration is simple: when you connect a plug to the REC IN jack, the VT-12 passes in recording standby. Choose one of the 10 memories "User", press the Start / Stop button and start playback on the external source. At the end of the song, press again the Start / Stop button. That's all! You can then temporarily store part of your song and part of that memory "User" to listen with REVIE button
