After more than two years of research and design, here is the new Zildjian line, the S cymbals! Made of 88% copper and 12% tin, combined with state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques, the new S cymbals offer great musicality and excellent tonal balance. This very versatile series is suitable for a wide range of musical styles.
The S series is a bold, bright and expressive line made of the B12 alloy. This new family pays tribute to Alice "Sally" Zildjian, wife of Avedis Zildjian III and grandmother of Craigie and Debbie Zildjian. "This is the first time that the Zildjian company has honored a female member of the family with a line of cymbals," said Craigie Zildjian. "Our grandmother was instrumental in convincing my grandfather to keep the 300-year family business alive and pass it on to the next generation."
