  • The Channel Strip II API
  • API 512c Preamplifier: This preamplifier is known for its warmth, clarity and ability to bring out the unique character of each sound source
  • API 527A Compressor: This compressor is both smooth and aggressive, and it's perfect for taming peaks and adding punch to vocals, guitars and drums
  • API 550A Equalizer: This three-band equalizer is one of the most popular equalizers in the world, and is known for its musicality and ability to shape sound precisely
  • API 325 line driver: This line driver provides additional gain amplification and allows the channel strip output level to be matched to external equipment
  • API Transformers: The API Channel Strip mk2 uses API transformers throughout the circuit, giving it a rich, warm sonic coloring
  • Two 10-segment LED VU meters for monitoring input and output level
  • An individual bypass switch for each treatment section
  • A switch to route the compressor after the equalizer
  • Comprehensive connection options on the rear panel
  • Output clips at +30 dBm
  • Rack Spaces: 1U / 19"
The Channel Strip mk2 API brings various improvements to the famous channel strip:

- Improved sound quality:
Preamplifiers, compressors and EQs have been updated to provide better precision, wider dynamic range and wider frequency response.
API transformers have been improved to reduce noise and distortion.
Increased flexibility:

- A new "Insert" switch allows external processors to be inserted into the signal chain.
A new “High Pass” switch helps cut unwanted low frequencies.
A new “Gain” control allows you to adjust the overall gain level of the channel strip.

- Improved ergonomics:
The VU meters have been improved for better readability.
Buttons and switches have been redesigned for easier use.
The chassis has been reinforced for greater durability.

- In addition to these enhancements, the API Channel Strip mk2 also offers:
Improved power supply for better stability and better signal-to-noise ratio.
New connection options on the rear panel.
Improved compatibility with modern recording software.

Warning: before turning it on, make sure that the switch on the back is set to 230 Volts and not 115 Volts, otherwise the damage will not give rise to warranty coverage.

The TCS-II is a complete input module with mic preamp, dynamics processing, precision EQ and output level control. With extensive signal metering, multiple balanced insert points, and an output cutoff switch, the TCS-II packs the best features of a large console input channel into a single rack space. It's the perfect choice for anyone looking for that high-performance API console sound.

The result of thoughtful engineering, the TCS-II includes everything needed to record an audio signal. It all starts with the popular 512c mic preamplifier, which includes the benefit of additional mic, line or instrument input switching. Next is the 527A multi-mode compressor with fully adjustable threshold, attack, release and ratio controls on detent potentiometers. The 527A's patented THRUST ® circuit gives your track the "in your face" punch that has made this circuit an award winner. The TCS-II also includes probably the most recognized and revered API EQ of all time, the 550A Tri-Band EQ with its switchable frequencies and 12dB of boost or cut. The 550A's high and low frequency bands can be switched individually to be shelving EQs, and the "BP Filter" switch inserts a bandpass filter from 50 Hz to 15 kHz.

At the output of the unit is the 325 Line Driver, taken directly from API console designs with an output level potentiometer and 10-segment level meter. The level meter can also be switched to display the preamp output level. Each of the TCS-II's processing elements can be activated or bypassed individually, while a toggle switch internally routes the compressor after the EQ if desired. Additional features include a sidechain input and the popular API 2520/transformer combination.
