EVH - 5150 Iconic Series 40W EL34 1x 12 Combo Black

EVH responds to the (very) numerous requests from the public by offering an EL34 version of its iconic 5150.

EL34 tubes tend to generate compression and saturation more quickly than 6L6, for a more "modern" rendering. This is why we find these tubes in the biggest references of manufacturers dedicated to BIG sound.

So here we are with a combo dedicated to raging and modern sounds, and which has been totally designed for various uses (rehearsals, studio, concert) and which is ready to receive baritone guitars, 7 and 8 strings or any other tuning from beyond the grave without flinching.

The cabinet is made of MDF panels reinforced by plywood plates at the level of the 12" EVH Celestion Custom HP. The sound is deep with a tighter response in the bass.

The 5150 has 2 channels:

- the Green channel allows you to go from a very precise clean sound to an aggressive and compressed Overdrive, perfect for rhythm,
- the Red channel sends more juice for maximum saturation ideal for the fiercest solos.

Navigation is done in the simplest way thanks to the 2-button footswitch (Channel / Boost) included with the beast, and you will find all the useful settings to sculpt your sound (gain / EQ / Volume) including Presence and Resonance settings.

But who says high gain level, says pronounced breath at the output ... Don't worry, EVH engineers have thought of everything by integrating a hyper-efficient and precisely adjustable Noise Gate. And if you want to practice at home without risking lawsuits with your neighbors, a switch allows you to go from 40 W to 10 W with a simple gesture while preserving the original grain and character of the amp.

For home recording enthusiasts or artists on stage looking to get feedback via the PA, an XLR output is included with the response of the HP emulated.

To top it all off, an effects loop is included so you can use your favorite effects but without coloring your sound.
