The third generation Focusrite Scarlett 8i6 interface features two new Scarlett mic preamps with XLR/6.35mm jack combo inputs and switchable 48V phantom power, input pads and the Air option modeled on Focusrite's legendary ISA preamp . This makes vocals and instruments sound clear and crisp.

The Scarlett 8i6 audio interface offers the possibility of connecting microphones, guitars, basses, synths or drum machines to its two combo inputs. In addition, 4 additional 6.35mm jack inputs are available on the rear panel of the sound card, to accommodate more line level sources.

The Scarlett 8i6 G3's impressive 24-bit/192kHz converters ensure that signals are captured and reproduced with precision and clarity. With 4 balanced jack line outputs, two stereo jack headphone outputs and independent control of headphone settings and speaker volume, the Scarlett 8i6 can simultaneously power multiple monitoring systems and external effects processors. S/PDIF and MIDI inputs and outputs are also available on the rear panel.

If the halo is red, your signal is saturating, and you should reduce your gain. The halo will turn momentarily amber when the level returns to normal, then green.
