The JBL 708P is based on the same filed transducer technology and the same well-known waveguide notament on the M2, but developed more compactly. But its small size, the JBL 708P returns an astonishing level of output, well above other monitors of the same size, with a wide dynamic range and possible distances of greater listening.

new generation of pilots Technology
JBL 708P is based on the new generation of drivers JBL technologies to provide greater dynamic range and superior frequency response. The compression engine high frequency 2409H incorporates an annular diaphragm innovative low mass to offer a softened response beyond 36 kHz with very low distortion. The low frequency transducer 728G provides a peak-to-peak excursion of 14 mm with high linearity, delivering exceptional bass output frequencies below 39 Hz. These proprietary transducers allow the 708P to deliver two to three times the output monitors existing studio.

Image Control Waveguide
Introduced for the first time with the JBL M2 Master Reference Monitor, the waveguide Image JBL Control ensures accuracy and neutrality. Allowing acoustically transparent transition between low and high frequency transducers, the waveguide provides a detailed sound image and precise image across the frequency spectrum.

integrated dual amplification system
JBL 708P integrates a dual amplification system optimized for its high performance transducers. Amp 250 W supplies the high frequency transducer 2409H while other amplifier of 250 W is dedicated to low frequency transducer 728G. This combination provides exceptional output level and allows a greater distance listening, making them ideal for post-production and mastering environments.

EQ and delay
Although 708P design provides exceptional neutrality in any room, the speaker also has an equalization room, so it is possible to offset the effects of poor acoustics room and enjoy optimal sound reproduction in any listening environment. In addition to the twelve EQ bands of the room, eight user EQ bands allow custom response curves such as X-Curve and compensation for positioning behind a perforated movie screen. The digital delay activated by the user enables a virtual alignment of speakers from the listening position, while a further period of AV sync is available to compensate for the latency in video displays.

Compact Monitors 7 Series have been developed keeping in mind the modern control rooms. Compact design two way minimizes interference with video screens while delivering an output comparable to that of larger speakers. The reinforced enclosure includes mounting points lower and rear, allowing wall or ceiling mounting in vertical or horizontal orientations.

Digital Integration
JBL 708P features analog and digital inputs, as Ainis sample rate converters. Digital AES / EBU inputs allow connectivity with a wide range of materials, including digital audio workstations (DAW), mixing consoles and digital audio players, up to 192 kHz. Internal sample rate converters can be turned on to allow connection to digital signals with unusual sampling frequencies.
