Presentation
As tunings become increasingly serious, traditional tunings have a disadvantage: the need to use a "stronger" string gauge in order to maintain good tension but add an extra dose of bass.
To overcome this and allow guitarists of all kinds to continue exploring new sonic territories, baritone guitars have appeared on the market. First used by Country players for the depth they bring in clean sound, they quickly became the ultimate weapon for Drop players.
This Jackson is a perfect example with its 27" scale, it allows you to tune in B (SI), A (LA) or even G (SOL) without having to go through a monstrous string gauge, and it will keep a balanced, punchy and tight sound while retaining its natural aggressiveness.
Featuring a nyatoh body for a punchy and medium-full bosom, this Soloist is no exception to the rule by integrating a 3-piece maple through-body neck. To maximize playing comfort in all circumstances, the latter benefits from a 12-16" compensated radius and the ebony fingerboard brings its share of surgical attack and precision.
To complement this riff machine, Jackson did not skimp on the means by opting for the famous pair of Seymour Duncan Nazgul/Sentient pickups. The Nazgul has been specially designed to bring out the lowest tunings in the mix with present but precise mids, the Sentient is a caress in clear sound which transforms into a precision machine for your craziest legatos and sweeps.
