The sE4400a is the last of the micro SE Electronics range started 6 years ago with the sE2200a.
It is based on the same capsule as the 2200A, but as a double capsule, which allows it to obtain several different polarities, which render it extremely versatile microphone.

4 polarities are available cardioid, hypercardioid, figure-8 and omni. They are aided by two low cut (60Hz to 120Hz) and 2 attenuation pad 10 and 20dB. The chassis is compact ... compact, but still can accommodate a double capsule 1 "and an electronic high quality. The microphone design allows use a dish for overhead or guitar amp, or even inside a kick drum. It is also perfect on voice and voice over.
