Presentation
The Control One from German manufacturer SPL offers both the functionality of a monitoring controller and a high-quality headphone amplifier, for use at home or in your studio. Switch between pairs to better judge your mix. Add a subwoofer that can be activated or deactivated simultaneously with the A speaker pair.
Connect devices such as a CD player, mixer, synthesizer or analog tape recorder. On the line output, connect a second headphone amplifier, mixer or tape recorder.
The headphone amplifier section of the Control One is incredibly powerful and offers extraordinary sound. The Control One is also compatible with low-impedance headphones thanks to the integrated buffer.
Extended monitoring function and Phonitor Matrix:
When the switch is engaged in the middle, audio playback is in stereo. You can also check mono compatibility and apply a special "Channel swap" to reverse the left and right channels. This is very useful for video editing, when you want to get the right orientation of the audio without having to edit the sample in your DAW first. Just select the right orientation by setting the switch to the right position.
The Phonitor Matrix option is very ingenious. In short, it corrects the flaws in traditional stereo audio equipment. For example, you can now mix with headphones without having to connect speakers. Stereo is now completely realistic.
