Information
To go further...
Featuring sounds taken from the already world-renowned Motif series synthesizers, the DTX-MULTI 12 also offers new percussion sounds collected from the Yamaha sound bank using advanced sampling techniques. 1277 voices in all. Digital "DJ" sounds as well as Latin, African, oriental percussion and acoustic drum sounds are present in the machine. Possibility to import audio files from a USB key and use them as voices. 64 Mb of memory for sample playback. All with great chorus and reverb effects that can be added or removed from the "drum kits". The DTX-MULTI 12 also has an effects dimmer that allows you to highlight individual voices.
Preset Patterns (or Sequences)
The DTX-MULTI 12 has 128 MIDI patterns (or sequences) (including 3 demos). All musical genres are represented, from rock to house music. You can easily start or stop these sequences by tapping on the pad. You can also record your own patterns or create others on the computer. These can be assigned to the pads of your choice. Using the TAP TEMPO function, you can set the tempo of the pattern and start the click from a pad, more intuitive and user-friendly to determine the appropriate tempo.
Different modes:
The DTX-MULTI 12 contains a large number of modes capable of helping us exercise our artistic talent:
1- The "Sticks" mode: the pads are struck with a stick
2- The "Hand" mode: the pads are struck by hand
3- The "Finger" mode: the pads are struck with the fingers
4- And just like on a skin, the "Mute" mode is carried out by simply pressing the hand on the pad
5- Trigger function
You can assign up to 4 channels on each pad. The DTX-MULTI 12 is equipped with a multitude of parameters to stimulate the creative spirit such as a "Stack mode" (sound superposition system). All the notes assigned to a pad can be "triggered" simultaneously by giving a single blow.
Multi-interface! Music production:
In addition to MIDI IN / OUT, the DTX-MULTI 12 is equipped with a Port-to-Host connection that allows you to connect it to a computer with a USB cable (sold separately) and a USB-to-Device socket to save your "user kits" files in memory in a key. Several possibilities to use these connections: MIDI with a keyboard, Steinberg Cubase AL5, or install extensions soon available on the website.
Multi-trigger:
The DTX-MULTI 12 offers 5 "trigger" inputs in Jack that allow you to simultaneously connect a bass drum pad and an HH controller in order to constitute a very complete travel kit. A "foot switch" to select different drum kits and patterns, a "foot controller" to adjust the volume or an effect in real time and the possibility of connecting a "drum trigger" like a DT20 to convert an acoustic drum. HH, foot switches, controllers, kick pads and DT20 triggers are sold separately.
