Ribbon Microphone

The Coles 4038 is a studio ribbon microphone with a bipolar field, sold as a matched pair. Originally designed by the BBC (British BroadCasting), the Coles 4038 is a high-performance microphone for professional studio recording or broadcasting. The matched pair comes with a protective cloth pouch, 4069 XLR cables and a flight case.

Coles 4038 microphones are widely used in Studio, and have built a solid reputation over the years. Originally designed for radio broadcasting, the Coles 4038 offers a very smooth and natural sound, with a particularly flat frequency response of 30 Hz to 15 KHz.

Whatever the recording made, on voice or instruments, the Coles 4038 respects the original source, and is very interesting on acoustic recordings.
