Presentation
The bi-amplified design includes a 12" long-excursion subwoofer and a passive satellite, connected by a Neutrik SPEAKON connector and equipped with six 3" full-range neodymium drivers.
The subwoofer is equipped with a two-channel Class D amplifier, with a switching power supply, that provides 600 W RMS to the subwoofer and 400 W RMS to the satellite, both housed in birch plywood enclosures.
A storage compartment is provided in the subwoofer enclosure to safely house the satellite driver and its supplied mounting pole for storage and transport.
The boom consists of two sections, one of which is telescopic, to allow the height of the satellite relative to the subwoofer to be adjusted to ensure precise coverage in every location.
The satellite's slim proportions provide a wide horizontal dispersion of 110°, while the precise placement of the six 3" drivers, to form a J-array, creates a vertical dispersion of 30° (+10° / -20°).
The subwoofer is equipped with aluminium handles, with a rubber insert, for a comfortable grip when transporting the entire system.
The fanless amplifier module is protected by die-cast aluminium, while the onboard DSP offers a choice of eight dedicated presets.
The VERTUS CS 1000 is compact but very sonorous, with a selectable high-pass filter ensuring optimum reproduction. It simply combines four systems in a two-per-side stereo configuration to achieve 8,000W peak.
