Focusrite - Scarlett 18I20 G4
The Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 Generation 4 is a USB audio interface designed for small studios. Air mode, with Presence and Harmonic Drive functions, recreates the sound of studio consoles, while the built-in DSP emulates the ISA preamp. Its Auto Gain and Clip Safe mode automatically adjust levels, allowing you to concentrate on recording. It also allows for latency-free monitoring and has 2 powerful headphone amps for separate control. It is controlled with Focusrite Control 2 software for advanced routing and is compatible with major DAWs such as Pro Tools and Ableton Live. Compact, rugged and suitable for studio use, the Scarlett 18i20 offers 120 dB dynamic range and 192 kHz sampling for professional audio performance.

Presentation
Its 8 mic preamps offer up to 69dB of gain, allowing you to capture vocals and instruments with great precision, even in the most demanding configurations. ADAT and S/PDIF connections widen the possibilities for expansion, while the 2 separate headphone outputs ensure optimal monitoring, whether you are an engineer or a performer. With its 1U rack design, it integrates easily into any studio environment.
The redesigned Air mode is a key feature of this Scarlett 18i20. Thanks to its analogue circuitry and DSP, it emulates Focusrite's ISA preamp, famous for its precise sound and harmonic details. This mode activates the Presence and Harmonic Drive functions, giving an extra boost to the high frequencies. You can add subtle analogue warmth or make your takes more vibrant, depending on the needs of your mix.
The Auto Gain and Clip Safe modes provide automatic level control and are invaluable tools for fast-paced or multi-tasking sessions. Auto Gain automatically sets the ideal input level, while Clip Safe prevents unwanted clipping. No need to worry about levels during your takes – just focus on the performance. Combined with dynamics meters on each channel, these tools allow you to maintain visual and technical control over every aspect of your recording.
The Scarlett 18i20 also excels when it comes to monitoring. Thanks to a low-latency monitoring system, it offers up to 6 separate internal mixes, each adjustable to the preferences of the engineer or artists. This allows you to tailor the headphone monitors and ensure a smooth, delay-free listening experience. The 2 high-quality headphone outputs ensure optimum comfort during long studio sessions.
