The SP-404MKII has everything we loved about its predecessor, with real improvements like 17 ultra-sensitive pads and improved buttons for smooth manual control. Building beats is even faster than before thanks to reduced power-up time, fast project loading and sample import, and easy access to projects thanks to 16 GB of internal memory. Old and new users will feel in a comfortable environment thanks to the intuitive interface and classic SP effects, the smooth sampling and sequencing process, the Skip Back Sampling function for quickly recording your performance, and the DJ mode for mixing live grooves.

Musicians who create music on an SP sampler love its speed, portability, and intuitive control buttons. The SP-404MKII goes even further in this direction, remaining lightweight but robust, while integrating features that make it even more practical in many situations. You can work wherever you want thanks to battery or travel battery power, record audio from your mobile device or use it for streaming via USB, or work together on the same device thanks to dual headphone output and input for guitar or microphone.

Thanks to the SP-404MKII's bright OLED display and the ability to zoom in on waveforms, editing samples is a snap. Chop them by choosing cut points in real time, or use Auto Chop for automatic cutting. Then adjust the envelope and pitch, and use the new resampling process to re-record patterns with their effects. And with Skip Back Sampling, you can capture moments of dazzling inspiration by recording the last 25 seconds of what you just played.

A sequencer designed for live playing
The SP-404MKII gives you the ability to create patterns with unique energy. Quantization and Shuffle are adjustable to let you customize your swing, Pad Link lets you trigger multiple samples from a single pad, the Roll button triggers variable note repetition, and you can store the tempo for each pattern. It is also possible to organize the patterns for different concerts and have them follow each other automatically in the order of your choice. Hands-free, you can focus on SP effects or your favorite synth

The SP-404MKII features 16GB of internal memory, packed with pre-loaded sounds to inspire your future creations. There you will find many, many carefully chosen samples, with plenty of extra room to add your own collection. You'll now be able to load more sounds at once, with a capacity of 160 samples in each project, for more playing options.
