Presentation
Universal Audio presents the SD-1, a dynamic microphone inspired by the classic SM7B, designed for both live and studio applications.
With the Universal Audio Standard SD-1, you'll record your vocals, instruments, livestreams and podcasts with professional results.
The design of this microphone is focused on proximity vocal pickups (radio effect), dialogues. It is not very sensitive to parasitic noise (VMC, fans, refrigerators, surrounding conversations, etc.).
The boost function (3-5 kHz) is used to reinforce the presence of voices and instruments by providing more clarity.
Presets for microphone use with Apollo interfaces equipped with UAD processors provide EQ and compression settings that will make your vocals, guitars and dialogue sound like they are on the radio.
And with Hemisphere, the modeling plug-in offered by Universal Audio, you also have access to several legendary vintage microphones.
