Guitar Microphone

Created in 1985, DiMarzio's PAF Pro emerged at the height of a period when rock on guitar exceeded 130 km/h, amps became loaded with saturation and effects racks stood out. To avoid ending up with a "dark" sound weighed down by the effects chain, DiMarzio developed the PAF Pro in order to maintain the "airy" opening of the PAF, with more presence and Cut thanks to its Alnico magnet v.

The 80s saw the emergence of numerous technological revolutions in the field of music, particularly in the guitar.

The amps then delivered more and more saturation, to respond to the emergence of Metal/Hard/Rock groups, through enormous Stacks from the biggest manufacturers.

But effects pedals (and other racks) were also involved and experimenting to enrich the sound of their guitar became a quest for many musicians.

The difficulty with the Disto + Effects combination is that the sound quickly loses definition or even becomes very "deaf" or "dark".

In order to overcome this problem, Larry DiMarzio's team designed the PAF Pro: a humbucker with the ability to retain the airy, open and organic response of a PAF type humbucker but by adding presence, shine and a sharper side.

So, even with the biggest reverbs or hottest analog delays plugged into your 120W tube head, your sound remains clear and expressive and you will be able to abuse the most furious techniques with complete clarity.

Low notes have both punch and volume, and there's a peak in the mids that gives the mic a subtle "aw" vowel sound, like a wah-wah pedal stopped in the middle. Treble response is adjusted to produce highs that pop without being harsh or too crystalline.
