The Wolfgang (name given by Eddie to his son) was originally created to obtain the most massive sound possible according to the tastes of the artist while maintaining the ergonomics and accessibility of the neck.

The basswood body includes a special comfort cutout for the forearm, ensuring a natural and fatigue-free playing position, even during extended sessions.

The bolt-on steamed maple neck of the Wolfgang WG Standard QM was specifically designed according to Eddie Van Halen's recommendations. Equipped with graphite reinforcements, it effectively resists variations in temperature and humidity, ensuring exceptional stability. The oil finish on the back of the neck and the 12 to 16'' compound radius of the fingerboard guarantee a fluid playing feel, ideal for fast solos and complex chords. The thumb position is naturally locked into a roundness in the first few frets, while the neck flattens out as you play.

The EVH Wolfgang AlNiCo II humbucking pickups mounted directly to the body are not only powerful, they also offer exceptional sustain longevity. The simple but effective control layout – with a volume and tone potentiometer – allows you to precisely sculpt your tone while maintaining the brilliance of the highs, even when you turn down the volume.

The Floyd Rose Special Locking bridge, combined with the R2 Locking nut, reliably maintains tuning, even during the most extreme vibrato effects. Whether you're playing intense rock or softer melodies, you can count on this guitar to stay perfectly in tune, even after deep dives and tight harmonics.
