Presentation
The Voodoo Ribbons from sE ribbon microphones mark the beginning of a new era in the history of the technology of ribbon microphones. Until now, the only ribbon microphone in the world capable of reproducing frequencies from 20Hz to 20kHz was RNR1, a collaboration between sE Rupert Neve and recognized as the best ribbon microphone in the world. This feat was achieved using high-end transformers associated with a circuit developed by Rupert Neve to reveal HF usually absent.
The Voodoo mics when they get to the same result with a new mechanical device developed by Siwei Zou CEO sE. This outstanding technical achievement allows the tape to capture frequencies from 20Hz to 20kHz.
The Voodoo Ribbons microphones therefore have the typical sound of ribbon microphones, but das a frequency range wider. The result is a beautifully detailed sound, wonderfully open and natural.
